How did I do this?????

I am the Senior Gup Female Grand Champion, which is the females in region 22 age 35 and older. Can someone please tell me how I enter a competition for the first time, scared out of my mind. And I walk out with 2 Silver medals and a trophy. I was so very shocked when they called my name, I thought for a second they made a mistake, but they look on my husband and another instructors face said no it is you. On another note Jamie came out of there with 2 bronze medals and Emily got a participation medal and a sense of pride, that she got up in front of 5 black belts and did her form all by herself and did a good job.

Region 22

we are 4 days away from the region 22 championships for Tang Soo Do, and I have not been nervous until I realized how close it is now. See I have never competed in anything and I am going to be in 2 events, Emily is in 2 and Jamie is doing 1. Emily and I are doing forms and sparing and since Jamie's surgery he can only do forms this year. I want to do good for not only myself but for the studio and my instructor as well. Not to mention we get to meet Grand Master Shin, he is the founder of Tang Soo Do in the United States (1968) to be exact. So please say a prayer for all of us.

What can Brown do for me

Last night was my test in martial arts and I tested for brown belt. Which is another step closer to a black belt, which is my goal. And my gosh was it a hard test. I know, I know you are saying, well duh it is going to get harder and harder each test. Well I knew that but this morning as I write this waiting for the Advil to kick in, I did not think it would be that hard. When we got home last night I was mentally and physically exhausted, but it was a good thing. Because I left it all there and gave it my all. So now we wait to see if I passed, and this is the part that is worse than the testing.

PERSEVERANCE

Perseverance is a word that I have made my word for the year. See one of my Aunts challenged us to take a word and make it yours for the year. So far I have been doing well with it. I have cleaned out this house from top to bottom and have kept it that way for over a month now, (and for me that is a lot). I have done my martial arts almost every day for a month now and I am trying to get back in shape. The diet is not going so well but I am pushing through and trying. So now I say to you what is your word for the year?

Kitchen mess

So this is Jamie and Emily's attempt at making pudding pops, and there is a story behind this. I got a mini pie maker the other day and I tried to make chocolate cream pies, but I had my dough to thick and it became a mess. So what to do with the already making pudding, Enter Emily into the kitchen. "why don't we make pudding pops and put them in the freezer". She is so very smart. By the way she got all A's and 1 B on her report card.

Sleep over and Shopping

Well the sleepover was a success!!! The girls went to sleep around midnight, and woke around 7:30 or 8, not sure which, I was asleep. Then it was off shopping with Michelle. We had a lot of fun, but we did have a melt down in Claire's. Emily could not decide whether to buy make up or save her money for wal mart to buy a doll. So after all the hoopla here is what she bought with her money. A hand sanitizer, a holder for said sanitizer and 6 puzzle block erasers.
